I love democracy so much, I made it my job.

At the risk of ruining my mentions, I want to remind my centrist friends that “vote blue no matter who” also applies when Dems nominate a leftist. We need to be single focused on winning back the Senate. We cannot do that without Michigan.

I’m not sure how much louder the electorate can get. Party leadership is completely missing the moment by insisting on maintaining the status quo. We are demanding change as though our lives depend on it - because they do. Nat’l Dems are fools if they don’t get on board.

New in PN: Moderate Democrats have a choice to make "They can spend the next three months reinforcing Republican messaging about their party & making it less likely Dems take power. Or they can put the 'battle for the soul of the party' off for a while and do what they can to help their party win."

If there's one thing the voters of Maine love, it's when super-rich people who don't live there helicopter into the state to tell them how to vote. What impeccable political instincts that Elon fellow has.

Mamdani: "When I make criticisms of PM Netanyahu, they are criticisms of PM Netanyahu. And what I shared were not even frankly personal assessments, they were objective facts ... it's a city where everyone needs to know that their belonging to it is not conditional on how they feel about the mayor."

And I guess I’m posting this because I want people to understand that when you see political influencers mentioning an “unbiased” news site in their vids, they are making huge bank off it and feeding you slop. While those of us with actual principles are like, hmmm will I ever be able to retire?

Really makes you wonder if part of the motivation for going after Amnesty International is personal payback for firing her. Narcissists like her never forget a slight like that even if the ultimate outcome worked in her favor.

It is not a great look that some senior Democratic leaders have had time to put out statements on social media about how much they'll miss Lindsey Graham but haven't had time to talk about these latest executions carried out by Trump's gestapo in American streets.

It seems to me that most of the border problem could be solved with technology for a lot less than we're spending now. What we really need is more judges to hear cases and decide who we should let in, and a better explanation for the public of why immigration is good, and is what makes us great.

The more establishment Dems hand-wring about the DSA/lefty candidates winning primaries, the harder it gets to deny that both parties are virtually the same. Listen to/lean into the voters, whether they’re in a state hungry for progressive pol’y or a state where a more conservative approach is best

I think @govandybeshear.bsky.social should just appoint a Dem to fill McConnell’s seat. It would force proof of life, and the state law that stripped him of that power should be challenged in court. I’m sure Thune would refuse to seat the appointee, but I think it’s a fight worth having. BE BOLD!
