I can’t get over the “Battle of the Sexes”. Bobby Riggs loses to Billie Jean King. But that is so *embarrassing* that he claims he threw the game to pay off debts. It’s less emasculating to claim you cheated rather than admit a woman was better at tennis than you.

Ive been saying for a while now, that the fear and disgust of disability and aging and death is driving the technofascists' apocalyptical thinking, in addition to their extreme eugenicist thinking. They truly believe they and they alone deserve to survive and thrive in this world.

Thiel’s philosophical assumptions might sound bizarre to outsiders, but they appear to be widely shared among the tech elite. “A.I. and its capabilities represent something analogous to the Second Coming,” Jeremy Nixon, a founder of an A.I. hub called A.G.I. House, said in May. The technology, some tech titans believe, will allow humans — at least some humans — to escape the bounds of earth and even perhaps the inevitability of death. It represents liberation from hopelessness and decay.

Providing sufficient and appropriate services to disabled children is only guaranteed in public schools. Private schools are not required to provide any. We have been repeating this for years about vouchers and disabled children.

1 in 4 students with disabilities who were awarded a voucher in Texas ultimately returned them: "Many were told their child’s needs couldn’t be accommodated. Others realized the prospective school was too far or too expensive. And there were those left waiting for replies that never came."

Chess should be mixed —men, women, nonbinary, cis, trans. All in. There’s absolutely no reason to have women’s chess, other than that girls & women have a hard time making it past the gatekeepers. Tbh, men don’t like it when women beat them —that’s part of it, too.
