Mark Carney has: -scrapped consumer carbon tax -scrapped oil/gas emissions cap -cut $1.3B from environment Canada -weakened industrial carbon pricing -axed 2 billion trees program -approved 1M barrels/day pipeline -weakened greenwashing laws While this is happening:

Five straight years warmer than anything observed before 2023 (Current record +1.53 degrees warming) en route to 2 degrees by 2030

Carney is totally flooding the zone right now by the way. A look at the last week or so: 24 Sussex reno, years overdue. Huge nuclear energy announcement. Missing climate targets (!!). Canada-BC MOU. PIPELINE PLAN WITH ALBERTA (!!). WORRYING SENATE REFORMS (!!). Massive submarine decision. NATO.

In case you’re a bit struck and overwhelmed by how many announcements Carney has been making, here’s him talking about something he said he learned from Trump: Carney sees “the effectiveness, the value” of “flooding the zone.”

These declarations are made out in the open, now with automatic translation. Western politicians and commentators who pretend not to notice these grotesque declarations by *the national security minister of a state which their countries arm and fund* are complicit in them.

The Israeli military has again committed an act of maritime piracy by illegally intercepting and kidnapping civilians on these boats. 12 people with Canadian passports have been abducted by the Israeli military. We have lost contact with our dear friends and comrades.

There is a fleet of civilian vessels sailing on the Mediterranean Sea currently headed to Gaza. There are over 55 boats in this most recent sailing, including 12 people with Canadian passports on board. Let Gaza live! Food, water, and medicine must be allowed into Gaza! 🍉

People are exposed to so much judgment and shame on a daily basis that any whiff of that in your teachings is going to make them tune out or get defensive. Talk to people like we're in this together as a team, not as if they should know better already. It sounds corny but, love is the way.

What was normalized in Gaza will have lasting effects on the entire world. It was a signal to the worst of humanity that they can get away with even livestreamed genocide. And we see that very genocide expanding today, and Trump joining in not under cover like Biden, but front & center.

In October 2023, Yoav Gallant said “we are fighting human animals” when talking about Palestinians. Now, Trump has called Iranians animals and said their “whole civilization will die tonight”. The failure to stop genocide in Gaza has enabled this disgusting, criminal rhetoric.

After bombing a school and massacring young girls, the war criminal in the White House is threatening genocide.
It's time to invoke the 25th
Amendment. This maniac should be removed from office.

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?
We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the

Seeing a lot of US accounts talking about "nuclear war" and the "threat" to them when the real horror of this right now is the US performing a nuclear-armed genocide, or conventionally delivered massive crimes against humanity, and you all really need to remember the lives of other people matter.

What I gather from this ancient Babylonian dialogue (and others) is that we have grappled with injustice for millennia. We've talked about it with our friends, and we've felt understandably depressed. How can we not? But we will keep fighting, and the smoke will clear one day...

This statement adds to a growing list of empty statements from the Canadian government which enables globally recognized atrocity crimes while functionally ignoring the Palestinian people. Canada unequivocally shrugs at its own impotence.

This discriminatory law adds to a growing list of actions which enables illegal settler violence while dehumanizing the Palestinian people. Canada unequivocally opposes its application.

Reflexive hatred of journalists and journalism as a whole is one of those right wing behaviors that doesn't get treated as such because the institution of journalism is in really bad shape, for reasons not actually journalist's fault. I am not a journalist so you cant get mad at me for saying this

I was part of the Global/First Nations University of Canada investigation into Indigenous procurement back in 2024. We knew there were problems, but it turns out we were just scratching the surface.

Canada's procurement watchdog says he's never seen anything as bad as the federal government's management of Indigenous procurement. His report has some shocking details: globalnews.ca/news/1174619...
