The only barrier to playing TTRPGS is the requirement of not being an asshole. Respect for the table, the GM, your fellow players, the game you’re playing. Understanding, empathy, willingness to collaborate and have fun. From that beautiful things can happen. ❤️

I am usually in the camp of 'all reading is good' but in some very rare cases an absolute dunderhead will pick up a book and be like "the hobbits are a direct endorsement of fascist racial supremacy" and I don't think it's really helping them or anyone else, like maybe reading actually isn't for you

"BLOODY MARY" BOOK RAFFLE! (Europe) I'm giving away 3 signed copies of my graphic novel "Bloody Mary: A Graphic Biography of Mary Tudor" (US edition in English) among all those who share this post! 😊 RULES: 1) You must be 18+ and in Europe to participate. 2) No purchase necessary to enter.

Photo of 3 copies of "Bloody Mary: A Graphic Biography of Mary Tudor" arranged nicely with a rose. A cutout of Holbein's Henry VIII doing thumbs-up is photoshopped in the corner.

Suddenly remembered how when I was a kid I posted an excerpt from a novel on Reddit and it was torn apart so viciously I didn’t write again for years, all of which to say, please don’t seek out feedback on your writing from anonymous strangers. It’s not going to help you

Worldbuilding, deciding that Sorcery is defined NOT as "magic that is inherent" like D&D, but as magic of fucking with the rules recycling voodoo dolls to work on someone beside the intended target, somehow brewing a potion without the correct ingredients embody the phrase "what sorcery is this?"

Please hire me to be your town sorcerer. I can glue thousands of googly eyes to lampposts. I can sit in the rafters and whisper secrets to spiders and bats. I can capture individual raindrops in tiny potion bottles and hand them out during parades. I can spend hours at a time thinking about the moon
