Every episode of Dark Side of the Ring: “They were great. So great. Amazing performer. Fun to be around. Hard worker. Really got the business… …and then they tried cocaine.”

Flashpoint S2 was a genuine heater of procedural television. Everyone figured out their place in front of behind the camera. It was an unstoppable force from the beginning.

LOL. Just got rejected for a job I had to do a first round video interview for. Not a Zoom interview. A series of video Q&As where I had 30 seconds to read a question and 2mn to answer with zero retakes. It’s a job I was built for too. Fucking stupid and demoralizing.

Noise. Pollution. The Ozone Layer. Acid Rain. AIDS treatment. Cancer cures. Crime rates. Child abductions. As much as we consume doom and gloom in our media, humans are very, very good at solving problems when we want to. We just have to want to.

Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.

air travel is one of those experiences that has gotten monotonically worse over my entire lifetime

question though: has *anything* in the last 40+ years genuinely gotten *better*?

like, there's *more* stuff, sure, but is any of it *better*?

Well, I guess Electronic Arts belongs to Saudi Arabia, private equity, and Jared Kushner now. https://kotaku.com/electronic-arts-officially-belongs-saudi-arabia-jared-kushner-now-2000721666

More power to her, I just want to know how anyone can look at anyone in this town with a straight face and still say establishing your brand matters when the creator and showrunner of New Girl’s new show is a hard edged serial killer mystery for Hulu.
