I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

I just read the new SPINAL TAP book and there’s a moment where Rob Reiner and the rest of the cast ask each other which projects will lead their obituary. Rob was sure “Meathead” was going to be the first line of his. Tonight, everyone’s teeing off with “one of the greatest directing runs ever”

Today I learned that rich people have no idea how US health insurance and laws like EMTALA actually work. Okay, I didn’t learn that, I already knew. It’s just funny to me that he came right out and said so and doesn’t have the self-respect to delete it.

For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates. What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ? Who in the USA gov runs the program? R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?

This is what I’m getting when trying to use Bluesky on desktop, so on the assumption that this will spread to the mobile client, it looks as if my time here will be coming to a close. Ah well. As Kermit the Frog once said, “Life is made up of meetings and partings. That is the way of it.”

An age assurance dialog that requires “an accurate date of birth to use Bluesky”. The only other option is to log out.
