I stand in solidarity with our Local 59 educators who voted to authorize a strike. Minneapolis educators and working families all want a school system that sets kids up for success.
Our educators and our public school students deserve reasonable classroom sizes and adequate special education services, and our teachers deserve pay they can count on. I stand with @mfelocal59.bsky.social as they work to support our educators and our students.
Minneapolis is a union town! Educators came to the table to negotiate in good faith, and have been met with delays and dismissal. It was an honor to stand with @mfelocal59.bsky.social in their fight for living wages, smaller class sizes, and pay parity for adult educators.
