She wasn’t “neutral” …. She stood up for women’s rights, LGBT rights, for Black equality … her “coat of many colors” spread wide. (Maybe you meant she was neutral with “partisan” politics, but that’s different from being “neutral.” She wasn’t. )
Yeah you can't say she was staying neutral and then talk about how much she supported transgender rights. She was hugely supportive of the LGBT community. That isn't neutrality when the other option is discrimination.
