It is truly an epic cinematic journey through far flung lands (Toronto) and a time lost to history (2008), with gargantuan foes (the CN tower) and ensnaring obstacles (the closing roof of the skydome). What more could one want from the cinema this weekend?

Musk is clearly getting visibly angry at the rising awareness of how many hundreds of thousands of people his DOGE wilding spree has already killed, millions more if this stays in place into the future. Every day brings new vile, morally bankrupt acts. This one I find especially despicable. This furthers racism and nationalism with propaganda to bolster it. Propaganda that whitewashes the US and seeks to destroy what anti-apartheid movements achieved in South Africa.

I get the impulse to "Leopards, faces, etc" these stories. But doing so misses a much bigger and more important point: The nation's largest, most powerful GOP state organization has gone all-in on unfiltered hatred - to the point that it stunned those who've spent their life confronting such hate.

It was a constant stream of anti-Muslim bigotry, a preview of what America will look like should Christian nationalists get their way.
