ah finally a useful Blue Sky
kind of comforting that it is trivially easy to bait literally any political faction into internecine public beef with a single burrito taxi post
for reasons that only make sense if you're insane, a TPUSA kid complaining about burrito costs on xitter has the GOP's biggest divas going for each other's throats.
we all got that one homie who was scanned by hideo kojima
I accidentally stepped on my cat’s tail it did not go well for either of us
picked up this collection of the rest of this director’s movies he’s like iran’s david lynch and my understanding is all his movies feature confusing time loops
this iranian/tajiki surrealist movie sounded up my alley
I accidentally stepped on my cat’s tail it did not go well for either of us

'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)
Took a drive and saw where wildfires had torched the trees earlier this summer. I was comforted by the resilience of wild flowers.
sometimes I remember that the economy is going to crash in a couple weeks unless someone stops the 50% tariffs on canada from happening
the main times I ever see bluesky mentioned in the wild are when people ask how to share links to their stuff without getting penalized
this is an interesting interview and if i were clipping it for social media i would have excerpted "We're still a place where we don't downrank links. We love sending traffic to people. We send two million clicks a day to publishers" rather than the part that'll just piss people off lol
The interview is actually quite interesting and not at all like this. Feels like ragebait.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
This is what I mean when quote post stuff w/ “belief: still today’s issue.” The vast majority of true things you are going to know about reality you are going to know by believing the testimony of someone else. Consequently, “critical thinking” almost always means “evaluating credibility.”
Millions of people have an absolutely insane concept of “critical thinking” that means “making a fully independent judgment on complex questions you are, if you’re at all honest with yourself, comically incompetent to evaluate & demand years of specialized training.”
if you fall asleep in your dreams, that’s the most restful sleep of all
oh you misunderstood me... I said “aught-ism”, as in, things people used to say in the 2000s
