Still waiting to get paid for my well medicated body. I could use that cash.

Dear #Vermont voters, there are two amendments to the Vermont Constitution which will be on the ballot in November. One is about the right to collective bargaining, the other is about equal protection/treatment under the law (which it should have had already). governor.vermont.gov/press-releas...
This is so backward. Absolutely awful. He has no bottom to his cruelty.
President Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/aaAEu6v
@catsofyore.bsky.social did you see the baby Francie twin at Queen City Cats named Smudge? I wish I wasn't in southern Vermont. She's so cute.
For the first time ever, my Fitbit told me I slept well. Yet my fatigue is so bad I'm struggling to get up and make lunch. So that tells you how accurate those sleep stats are and how refreshing my sleep was.
Oh, good, we're doing that dismissive "but they had preexisting conditions" thing again.
BREAKING: Two people in Michigan have died after contracting cyclosporiasis, the state's health department says. Both people had “significant underlying health conditions that may have been impacted by cyclosporiasis and dehydration,” according to a news release.
This would usually be #MigraineChat Monday so I thought I'd throw out a question from the archives. With #migraine (and other comorbidities), we tend to see lots of medical providers. If you experience appointment and/or provider burnout, what is that like? How do you manage that type of burnout?
This struck me re: books. I used to love the latest mystery/thriller. Haven't read one in ages. Never read romance in my life until my anxiety got bad. Now give me a cozy romance w/a happily ever after. Not only good for my nervous system, my fatigued brain doesn't have to figure out complex plot.
I bet the romance genre is having a huge boost these days for these reasons. Wondering if you’ve experienced that @mostlybree.kitrocha.com @courtneymilan.com ? Seems to me like love stories and happy endings are in especially high demand.
There is some subset of the population that will respond to any warning about danger with doubt and cynicism. Do they just not trust the media? Believe everything is a conspiracy? I don't get get it. How are they alive?
Rather than just post the question as plain text, someone in our town's fb group made a whole ass AI graphic to ask for references for a specific type of contractor. I want to say something but I don't feel like picking a fight.
Never thought I'd miss lettuce. My hydroponic lettuce is growing, but I'm impatient.
I'm really glad I did my dissertation before AI blew up. I didn't even use a citation manager to manage my lit review (ok, that was a mistake 😬). (Reposted to edit a typo, ironic.)
My PCP and I reviewed the diagnostic criteria for ME and she agreed I likely fit. To my knowledge, there are no specialists anywhere remotely close to southern Vermont to confirm this and help me with treatment. I have two questions for my ME friends on here since I'm new to exploring this...
Oh my goodness. There's a very Francie-looking kitty at the Springfield Humane Society here in Vermont, and he's FIV+ like her! Look at TicTak! Please share with Vermont friends. 🤍 www.spfldhumane.org/adoptable-pe...

I know Facebook is garbage but I'm still on it. I don't know for how much longer, though, because somehow my feed is full of anti-vaxxers, MAGA, and other crap I very much do not want to see. And no matter how much I dismiss, more pops up.
I just discovered Xzibit's cat's Instagram account. It's so wholesome.
How many times have you listened to Falling Slowly today and is the answer roughly 142?

Overnight, a masked bandit broke into our kitchen. Armed with opposable thumbs, he proceeded to sample everything on offer. I’d just visited the farmers market, so the menu was extensive. I can now share a highly specific peer-reviewed list of what this particular raider did & did not enjoy. 🧵
Reporters always leave out that this also affects millions of disabled Americans on SSDI who also receive Medicare. I can't wait to see how much my prescription plan goes up. And I don't want to change it because they've historically been really good at approving any appeal my doctors have sent in.

Did you know if you crumble up shortbread cookies in strawberry ice cream, it's pretty delicious? Like shortcake. 🍓🍨 Anyway, things are kinda bleak but there's always ice cream.
The new AHS guidelines list occipital nerve blocks on the "must offer" tier of emergency room treatments for migraine. Informal poll, at the ER/ED accessible to you, how likely do you think there's someone trained in giving nerve blocks? Would you accept them if offered? #MigraineChat
Two years without my best friend. Two very hard years. 💔 Wish more than anything to snuggle you one more time.

Listen, I spent a summer in Costa Rica and came home with a parasitic infection that took months of antibiotics to clear. It's had long-term consequences for my GI system. You do not want cyclospora. It is not a fun way to drop 10 pounds.
This is incredibly disappointing. Hindsight should be pretty freaking clear here.
BRENNAN: You were an early supporter of Graham Platner. Do you regret not acting earlier for him to drop out given the warning signs? BERNIE SANDERS: No, I don't think so
I'm so tired of coming up with meals. Three a day? Why are you so needy, body? My fatigue is so high. I'm spending all my energy keeping myself fed, then crashing again.
