KBJ dissenting in Wolford (decision invalidating Hawaii law that creates a presumption of no firearms on private property w/o property owner's consent): "Today’s decision makes one thing clear: The Court’s objective is protecting guns, not consistently preserving any principle of law."

This is BIG. After spending over $1 BILLION on the purchase of multiple commercial warehouses that ICE planned to convert into the largest jails/prisons in the nation, ICE is now largely abandoning the idea and will aim to sell off multiple warehouses at a loss.

NEW — I wanted to know if ICE’s newly uncovered plan to offload seven of the 11 concentration camp warehouses was actually a big deal, so I went straight to the expert: Michael Wriston of @projectsaltbox.com, which has been tracking these warehouses every step of the way. Our full convo here:

Your regular reminder that this clearly-it's-a-war is neither approved by Congress nor the UN Security Council & it is an egregious violation of the US Constitution, international law, & our signed, ratified treaty commitments, & if we were a serious country, we would care about these things

Normally you wouldn’t increase the likelihood of US casualties by announcing something like this ahead of time, unless you are bluffing to use it as a negotiating ploy, you are stupid, you don’t really care about the troops, or all three.

I say without hyperbole that this is the most brazenly corrupt action in US Presidential history. That it does not immediately lead to impeachment is a dangerous sign of how far the rule of law has declined.

This is what Wisconsinites have to pay to watch the Brewers, Bucks, and Packers play, and it’s simply outrageous. My new bill will put an end to those sky-high costs, making local games free for local fans.

I sent a classified letter to House and Senate colleagues about a secret interpretation of surveillance law that every American should be concerned about. Representative Massie is right. The Constitution requires EVERY member to vote against a clean reauthorization.

A tweet from Representative Thomas Massie that reads:

I just viewed 2 Top Secret FISA docs.
1) FISA Court opinion that raises serious concerns about FBI implementation of FISA 702.
2) letter by Senator Wyden describing a secret government interpretation of FISA law.
The Constitution requires I vote No on FISA 702 reauthorization.

This is an actual post. This is not funny. This is beyond desperate. This is a deeply unwell man who doesn’t belong anywhere near the levers of power. Every member of his cabinet and Congress is complicit in not demanding his removal now.

Possible. Try to search for current U.S. casualty numbers in the Iran conflict and you’ll find no updates (and hence no news articles) in over a week. For as long as I can remember you could get daily updates for any major conflict the U.S. was engaged in. The legacy fourth estate is in shambles.

“US bases across the Middle East have been severely damaged. American troops are being hunted by Iranian forces as they relocate to hotels and makeshift sites.” -Mike Levin, US congressman, CA

Jaw-dropping admission by DOJ to court. DOJ admits to having repeatedly made "material mistaken" representations to judge - ICE never had authority (under 2025 Guidance) to conduct arrests at immigration courthouses! DOJ admits court "relied on...prior misrepresentations." DOJ blames ICE (page 2)

Concentration camps. Use the term. Do not stop using the term until this current American regime falls and the camps are liberated. Then use the term in The Hague. This is Trumpism. This is white nationalism. This is he moral gutter into which America has fallen.

Record deaths in US immigration custody expose systemic failures

Families, advocates and lawmakers say poor care, opaque investigations and bureaucracy leave deaths unexplained

A US submarine sinking a lonely, dinky Iranian surface ship an ocean away from the theater of the main conflict—and 9000 miles from North America—makes it pretty clear the US is fighting a general war, without the declaration required by the Constitution. www.reuters.com/world/asia-p...

I come not to praise Claude or whatever but giving unaccountable robot decisionmaking to thundering dipshits who just shot down their own drone with a laser does seem like wrong side of history business
