Studio execs are going to want to adapt more poems for the big screen now
ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER would be better if it was called AGAIN WITH THE BATTLES, IT'S ALWAYS BATTLES WITH YOU

we built a whole custom tag/theme ("simcity disaster watch") around how bad the last simcity was, something i dont remember doing for any other major game launch. not even cyberpunk.
Your Complete Guide To The SimCity Disaster - Kotaku
Misinformation. Server errors. Fan backlash. Since EA launched SimCity two weeks ago, the online city-builder has been nothing short of a catastrophe for

i fear that history has been rewritten so that the death of SimCity was as simple as “Cities: Skylines came out and was better and that was that.” let me tell you it was a lot more stupid than that
one of the things we need to come to terms with in animation is that the streaming bubble and online platforms have made expectations so large, and that the outsourced pipelines are so bloated and wasteful - that audiences are prepped for impossible output and quality.
The cut revealing who is singing this song made me openly cackle during Jason's stream last night.
With the ghost in the shell remake, I'm fondly remembering a snooty upperclassman in college berating us for drawing anime fanart, and when we called hypocrisy over his ghost in the shell fanart in his portfolio, he said it didn't count because the IP was "underground" 🙂↕️
i started playing titanium court at the behest of a friend last night. the steam page describes it as "a surreal strategy game for clowns and criminals" and truly that is all you need to know. a few hours in and i am enraptured. both nothing and everything make sense. bewildering. my mind expands.
i 100%'d titanium court, but at what cost? there is nothing but emptiness that remains.
the more i play titanium court the more i feel like a morally bad person. fantastic game
The very first person to run a marathon, Pheidippides, died shortly after completing it. A 100% fatality rate at that point in time. Imagine being the second person to run a marathon.
Homer walking into a room full of Greek Epic executives, writing Ὀδυσσεύς on the greaseboard, then scratching off the last two letters and replacing them so it reads Ὀδύσσεια Execs burst into applause, hand him millions of drachmas
Pssssh, Ὀδύσσεια was just a cheap cash-in sequel to Ἰλιάς anyway
I love that every year or so a new silly little creature emerges and brings the whole internet together in peace and harmony
I wrote a thing on LinkedIn about Toon Boom's Ambassador Program. I was given the opportunity to design it in 2019. Mostly because it solved a brand safety problem.

Who knows what shenanigans we'll get up to when all of the expensive datacenter chips become e-waste? My current 'gaming PC' is a repurposed Etherium mining server blade that I bought used for $150.
Hatred of AI now reaching the level of cultural consensus that becomes attractive to advertisers
The founders (claim to) believe that making everything into a wager will create a better source of news than actual journalism, so yeah.
These Polymarket ads are very weird
I think the problem with the games industry is that everyone forgot what 'AAA' meant. They're the safe bets that publishers shovel money into in order to get more money out.
'Grand Theft Auto VI, The Last Blockbuster' GTAVI won't be the last AAA video game, but it sure does feel like the last one we'll ever see at this scale. aftermath.site/gta-vi-grand-t...
I enjoy how the voice actor for Midnight Suns' Steve Strange is just straight-up doing Doctor Orpheus.
I'm hereby referring to my cat catching mice as "paying his rent." Julius paid his rent last night.
If anyone's looking for books to read, I enjoyed the hell out of Lock In and Old Man's War.
2. If you haven't picked up my Humble Bundle of books yet, today's a fine day. We have to date raised $18.7k for @wck.org, and it would be lovely to get to $20k this weekend. Available everywhere except (apparently) current and former Commonwealth countries: www.humblebundle.com/books/john-s...
I got to know Baron Harkonnen and we had nice steak dinners together. Even though we disagreed on much, he was always willing to negotiate, with humor and wit My heart goes out to his loved ones
Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
