Abolish ICE

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

This is the right thing to say and I wholeheartedly support it and believe it but it is frustrating and aggravating that he's been saying this for months and months and, like Mamdani, some people on here take this as a rhetorical pivot after the primary rather than just sincerity.

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

"It’s unbelievable to subject kids to these kinds of invasive medical exams that have no basis in health or safety. One of my daughters is a rising fourth-grader, and she played a sport last year. Are you going to ask a fourth-grader to undergo this?” s/o @momsrising.org

New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...

The thing that gets me about the AI Google Earth thing is Google Earth is one of the genuinely holy shit that’s amazing things that tech folks have developed. Giving humans a detailed view of anywhere on the planet is world historical achievement stuff. And it’s the same company now wrecking it.
