Imagine holding an inquiry about whether Micky Mouse is racist or not, while there is a massive war going on, and people are struggling to make ends meet. This amount of taxpayer waste by culture war politicians should constitute financial fraud.

stuff like this is why one important avenue for court reform is just nixing the shadow docket altogether and forcing these people to explain themselves to the public when they issue orders. also, making their records property of the united states and subject to publication when they leave the bench.

Amy Coney Barrett just told Congress that it would be inappropriate to explain the reasoning behind the Court’s unreasoned shadow docket orders. As if unreasoned judicial orders are a thing. They are not. The reasoning is the whole point.

Over and over again lifelong Democrat incumbents are being primaried by younger, more progressive immigrant challengers because people haven't lost faith in the idea of the Democratic Party, just the leadership of it. Every time a moderate complains, an immigrant realizes they too can run and win.

Looking at social media reactions to the SCOTUS and it really highlights how the GOP will get 99% of what they want, ignore that, and focus on demanding that 1% more. Dems will get 1% of what they want, immediately give up on the other 99%, and call the day a victory.

It's just a sports ban. It's just a bathroom ban. It's just a healthcare for kids ban. It's just a military service ban. It's just a federal jobs ban. It's just a university housing ban. It's just a passport & visa ban. It's just one Constitutional right. It's just your status as free citizens.
