Honestly seeing this stuff actually just makes me feel worse. More and more proof gets found that the supreme court was obviously wrong. But does it matter if the government just ignore it? No matter how right we are and how much we prove it, it's never enough.

I wish one presenter if they had that awful Falkner on their show would ask 1 simple question. If the supreme court ruled the other way and went further with trans inclusion than previous thought. Would she have spend so as much time and effort pushing for the law to catch up. We know the answer

Today I again raised my concerns - if these questions and others are not answered adequately by the chair of the EHRC when she comes before @commonswec.parliament.uk next week, I will be signing the fatal motion on the code of practice.
I wonder how many Labour MPs currently are looking at the supreme court judgement today and going "S**t if we reverse this then it shows we can also reverse FWS and our hands aren't really tied". How many minority groups does it take to grow a spine?
Well I am exhausted but least today I managed to get 1 MP (I will pretend only I asked him) to sign the EDM and have gotten several friends to write to their MPs to revoke the new code of practice. It may not be much but if we can all do it we can make some progress!
I honestly am expecting when @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social realises how bad his chances at winning the election are, he will sign the EDM 240 motion and pretend he cares about trans people. Would be funnier if Bridgette signed it. In this country, nothing would surprise me.
Govt has published their updated guidance following the Supreme Court judgment. As I have set out before, this new code will still lead to confusion for businesses & contains multiple legal contradictions which will see some of the worse elements of transphobia continue being aided and abetted 1/7
Thank you @tomgordonld.bsky.social . I asked if he would be willing to sign. Within an hour he did. He is not my MP but has done more for me in the past 24 hours than my own Labour MP has ever done despite many many emails and asking for meetings.

I know I'm ranting today, but I took a long break due to potential health issues (all seem ok now) so back with some force I guess. But one thing I think that does need to be drilled into MPs. When they mention ILGA about trans people. Use the numbers for trans people. It's worse than 22nd. It's 45
I will say I am in a strange mood after hearing the EHRC debate. A year ago it really only seemed the Greens were there for trans people. Lib Dems seemed to disappear from it. Today, Lib Dems showed up in force. Greens sent no-one. I pray the greens improve in future. @zackpolanski.bsky.social
One thing to add. If a Labour politician tries to pretend they haven't taken trans rights away. Let's pretend they are right and this was how the equality act was intended. It means Labour still took away trans rights in 2010. There is no scenario where Labour didn't strip trans peoples rights
What is the point of "change" with Labour. Let's get a new PM. Same as old PM. Let's get a new Health Secretary. Same as old Health Secretary. Honestly I hope Burnham loses in Makerfield. But whatever so called "left-wing" left in Labour need to actually find someone Left-wing to run for leader.
Just to say, if he's already this useless on people, brexit and other issues that have come up. Don't worry we have another few years to see how much more useless he will be before the next general election. Where is an actual Labour MP that is going for PM that won't be same or worse than prior?

There is no way to implement the SC ruling and the new EHRC guidance without further marginalising an already marginalised community because that's what the ruling and guidance are for, to push trans people further out of public life.
I have decided to run for the Labour party at the next G.E. Can anyone tell me what I am personally motivated to achieve (please make sure it's something I don't care about and would be willing to ignore in future and doesn't affect me). Also which minority should I vow to protect then abandon?
So can I ask, what difference will having Andy in charge instead of Starmer really make? Currently I am seeing nothing that was different to Starmer pre-election. In fact on trans issues he seems worse than pre-election Starmer (or maybe more like within a month or two from election Starmer).
My only real hope now is the green party in this country. All other parties in England are willing to throw me under a bus and say well at least it wasn't reform doing it. Greens are not perfect but at least they do fight back. Not bow down to fascists.

I share the worry of trans people at the prospect of PM Wes Streeting. At Health he ignored the voices of young trans people and restricted gender-affirming care, causing harm to a generation. It is up to Labour to choose its leader, but members must also choose a better direction on trans rights
Trans people are so often excluded from decisions made about them. I am concerned the puberty blockers trial has been paused not for clinical reasons, nor because govt listened to trans people's constructive concerns about how it will be run, but as a political decision...
So a while ago, Scotland was not allowed to have self ID as it would make another country in the United Kingdom have different rules regarding trans people compared to England. Now that Northern Ireland cannot implement FWS ruling, will England change FWS to ensure it aligns with Northern Ireland?
