Trying to broaden the subject to other minoritized and marginalized groups when someone is talking specifically about Black experiences is an act of anti-Black racist aggression. Period.
Many white people believe(d) slavery was on solid footing with God. White people have fought against Blackness harder than they have ever fought for equality. That has not changed. White liberals must work harder at looking at themselves. Yet, power has always been about who will support the lie.
There's actually research on this and it involves scrutiny. If you're Black people are going to look at your work looking for mistakes in a way they would never for white people.
