The problem with saying, "You can be critical of pro-Israel & AIPAC-funded politicians & it's not antisemitic," is that it's actually true BUT if a rival can call a politician AIPAC-funded without any evidence & you'll just believe them because that politician is Jewish, that IS antisemitic.

I think it's worth pointing out that Gillibrand is at least officially a Catholic and that this teaching was rescinded under Vatican II. So, she's going against her own (stated) faith tradition. Deeply weird behavior.

I was today years old when I learned that Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand attends a bible study group that teaches that Jewish people killed Jesus, which has been used to justify antisemitism and associated violence against us Jews.

It's useful to narrow this down to generative AI. Because like yeah, I use auto transcription, but auto transcription predates generative AI. I would never use generative AI for fact checking because it hallucinates.

I got a flu booster today and it made me reflect on the sense of national accomplishment I felt when I drove to a public facility, waited in my car until my number was called on an app, and got my first covid jab. It's fucked the right gets to erase what a moment of technological liberation that was

I was home from work a week before the state of emergency was called. Almost every day that week and the week after I got a work email saying that someone in the office had tested positive for covid and all close contacts had been notified.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

I do appreciate Hillary Duff using this moment to say yeah I tried the skinny thing I'd rather be jacked and then told all the women to go out and try the ladders app.(and yes I'm aware she's still conventionally thin!)

It's not just Google Maps. AllTrails put genAI into their system last year and it has screwed everything up so badly I would never use it for hiking, purely for safety reasons. Some things require long years of practical, experiential knowledge. Walking in the 'wilderness' is one of those things.
