soon as I saw the recipe for Peaches and Cream Victoria Sandwich from @vaughnvreeland.bsky.social at @nytimes.com I had to make it. The mint garnish is from my garden. The peach tea soak (I used my favorite peach oolong) and the lemon zest in the cake made it 👩🍳💋
WRITER FRIENDS: if you distribute books using INGRAM SPARK you *need* to fill out this opt-out form so they don't sell your books to AI corps to rip apart and feed to their machine for training AI.
Nothing can ruin a stripteaser’s day faster than a closure which opens too soon...or won’t open at all. I’m teaching an on-line class this Tuesday 7/21 all about costume closures and how to pick the best ones to make your removes look their best! events.humanitix.com/achieving-cl...

Working out at home has unexpected challenges. During the @thebarmethod.bsky.social livestream this morning, Bartholomew claimed my mini-mat.
Had a lovely time at @brooklinebooksmith.bsky.social last night hearing @paultremblay.bsky.social discuss his latest book with @egjames.bsky.social . Unexpected bonus, sitting next to @cgolden.bsky.social and overhearing talk of some of his upcoming projects (plus a rousing anti-AI speech) #fuckai

I guess students in the arts and humanities are like the ewoks?
This is horrifying and incredibly creepy. It can’t possibly be legal. I can recommend Dr. Fitzharris’s books. They’re well-written, well-researched, and very interesting. I suspect she’s got a fight ahead, and reading her actual work will support it.
I genuinely feel sick. A company reached out to me on IG, linking me to an AI version of myself. You can even ask "me" questions. They are also advertising it using an AI photo of me. They told me if I like it, they will give me free access... to my own fucking content that they stole. /1
Everyone needs to read this thread ESPECIALLY if you think nah, this isn’t relevant for me (looking at you, cis men of all ages)
After a mammal is a juvenile, they are an adult. But what are they after they are an adult? In seven species of mammal, including humans, life has a third act for females. We are underreacting to menopause.

Question for players & GMs: The X-card is a direct, non-verbal way of communicating a single, important piece of information: "Stop everything right now". There are some other similar safety tools. The X-Card was expanded to include "N" ('please fade to black'), and "O" ('everyone OK?').

I often look at what y'all put out there and am amazed at your creativity and professionalism. Or I look at your stuff and think "You've got too much time on your hands". I try to emulate the former; Today I'm firmly in the second. I don't know what you all are going to do with this, but feel free.
