It's HERE! If you loved Never Whistle at Night, it is back for Blood with Part 2! Quite literally back for blood as this new collection is more bloody and haunting. Some of these stories stay with you and will have you squirming in uncomfortability and fear.

I’m using my executive authority to ban nonferrous mining in the Boundary Waters.    As far as my administration is concerned, the fight for the future of the Boundary Waters is over. The verdict is in. The decision is made. We will protect this place.

There are so many reasons to not shop Amazon if you can help it, but it turns my stomach whenever I see authors advertising Amazon and Audible sales. Stop feeding the thing that’s eating us. Fuck Amazon. Get your books indie or from libraries.

SCOOP: 404 Media placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it. What did we find? It ended up at an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books. Yes. This is literally the logo outside the Amazon warehouse door. Read now:

Real answer: unless you get lucky, most people will not care that you wrote a book. That's something you need to be okay with. I know it was hard work. I know you're proud of it. Many of your loved ones and friends will not read it. Strangers almost definitely won't. That's fine.

What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

Ok, kids. Buckle up because I have *had it* with something that keeps on popping up in requests for my services. I'm an editor; I do developmental editing, editorial assessment, copy/line editing, and proofreading, and I've been doing it a long time. I get requests for services (yay!), but I do NOT

This goes for indie publishers as well! Buy books Write reviews (or even just star ratings) Tell people about the stories you've loved or are excited for* *online & in person! Request them through your library Ask your local bookshops to order them Word of mouth makes a huge difference for us.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!
