Blake Murphy@blakemurphy.bsky.social · 3w agoThe run scores. Replay booth determined that Jays didn't appeal that the runner left 3rd early, so even though runner was doubled off at 1st, run scored first. Jays arguing that umpires waved them off before there was chance to appeal.
A couple of years ago my wife and I got Jays jerseys. She got a #25 Varsho and I went with Gausman. Truly the end of an era in our household.

I can't sing or play an instrument, but I think I could really nail the other parts of a concert. Asking how everyone is doing tonight, gauging the crowds interest in rocking and rolling, yelling out a fact about the town I'm currently in. I think I could really shine there.
Vladdy is the most recent Jay to do this. I was at the game in 2010 when JP Arencibia did it. The Jays won 17-11 over TB and had 8 homers for the home side. My nephew's memory of the game was how good the popcorn was. Doug Ault on '77 Opening Day was first. Alex Gonzalez ('95) the only other.

I've crunched the data and verified jersey numbers and no matter how you cut it the this is both the highest sum and highest average of Jays jersey numbers sent to the All-Star game.
