Maybe poetry is about finding poetry in all things. An elliptical definition. It is also a world to enter. I read Frederike Mayröcker's prose poems; I am in her Vienna apartment , looking out her window, recalling beauty, voyaging into the eeriness of the everyday. She writes, her eyes blaze.

Little known fact: lots of book people are also stationery people. Pens. Coloured inks. Notebooks. Wax seals. The full “I am about to write a novel in a candlelit tower” fantasy. We now have them in store. Beautiful, serious pens. Please come admire them before I start naming them. ✒️📚

A year after receiving it the government has published its Land Use Review. But … Published “without being adopted by government”. And “it is not an articulation of government policy”. Neither is it “a new strategy in relation to land use”. That’s a long barge pole. 🧵#SpeirGorm
