I find it strange how Canadian news orgs devote so much attention to vandalized pride flags, really just pieces of cloth, yet become silent on the harm being done to people such as in Alberta with its anti-trans laws. Maybe they ignore it for the same reason good news stories get fewer clicks.

I love sour cream doughnuts, vanilla soft serve, and two-egg-sausage-brown-toast-homefries diner breakfasts. I had two out of three this weekend. It was a good weekend.

Sometimes I get multiple editions of the same book to capture how historical prescriptions were shifted by the intervening lived history.

I used to think there was value in "debating" bad faith actors. The goal wasn't convincing them (futile) but otherwise inaccessible audiences. Now that audiences are groomed with hateful disinfo online, I don't think engaging with shameless liars does good. There's better ways to spend resources.

A new study out of Canada looked at four youth gender clinics. Out of 445 patients only four who started gender affirming hormone therapy ceased taking it, and only one did so due to a re-identification with their birth sex. assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

A New Study from Canada Again Finds Less Than 1 Percent of Trans Youth Detransition - Assigned Media

Like, it all comes back to "why should someone read something no one bothered to write? Or look at something no one bothered to draw?" Except now, on top of that, you want to be PAID for it?? I'm capable of saying "no" politely, but I don't know for how long...

The Canadian government has taken a deregulatory/privatization stance for decades. Its a wealth transfer from poor to affluent to shield the latter from the country's decline in prosperity. Now businesses have come up with people eating machines, but we're still with the hands off approach.

The Canadian government only uses human rights as a hammer to wield against foreign entities that are inconsequential or antagonistic to its foreign policy interests. It will never use it against dictatorships and those behind genocides so long as they are military allies of the USA.

Mark Carney just allowed war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to fly through Canada despite a warrant for his arrest and the country being a signatory to the Rome Statute. We have aided and embedded one of history's greatest monsters

@CJPME
🚨 For the 3rd time in 7 months, Netanyahu has entered Canadian airspace en route to the United States.

As a signatory to the Rome Statute, Canada is obliged to enforce the ICC arrest warrants against Netanyahu. Instead,
@MarkJCarney
 is allowing him to circumvent justice and avoid any consequences for his war crimes and crimes against humanity.

According to protocol, foreign state flights must seek permission before entering Canadian airspace, which should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance.

Why does Carney continue to give safe passage to this war criminal? Canada should deny diplomatic clearance and close the airspace to ICC fugitives.

There's 3,400 billionaires in the world. That's one large high school's worth. When they use their incredible wealth to harm poor people, or trans people, or immigrants - painting millions with one broad stroke of hate - remember that it all emanates from the equivalent of a single high school.
