I would propose that #Lviv becomes one of the European Capitals of #Culture in 2033. It's the next "free slot" – and until then #Ukraine will not only have won the war against the RuZZian aggressor but also be a fully integrated member of #EU. #EuropeUnitedIncludingUkraine

I’ve just finished watching a lecture on how to notice architectural details. We looked at different buildings in Lviv. It made me return to the videos and photos from my recent visit there. Perhaps it’s time to write another letter.
My first thought was regret, but I wasn’t sure why, unless it was the regret of trusting those unworthy of trust. I look forward learning more from your intake from the lecture. Or are you giving it?
Just got out of a meeting with President Zelensky. I stand with Ukraine and will be voting to sanction Russia.

Where's the righteous anger the news about Exeter has engendered? Where are the think pieces about learning loss and unconscionable redundancies? The problem will never be understood or *addressed* if we do not, collectively, respond to the full scale of it.
So it's farewell to the History subject area at the University of Hertfordshire, not the first nor the last to go. One of the best departments in the country, just extinguished like a snap of the fingers. Think of the waste. (1/2)
I need new knowledge for future letters and visits to Lviv. And it’s a good way to spend the day after the attack. They cannot kill knowledge.
Our dear friend Yaroslava posted this morning, Wednesday. Keep Kyiv in your thoughts always. A tragic and heartbreaking night in Kyiv.
Kyiv. The smell of last night’s attack is in the air. I’m making warcoffee. Reading the news. Warehouses belonging to civilian businesses were on fire. A railway station in the Kyiv region was hit. People were killed.

It caught my attention immediately. Why is the piano here? I came closer. 🇺🇦 Oleh Holosii, Night Lights, 1992. The title raised even more questions.

The billionaires are addicted to their game of greed. To play it they need us to collaborate. They think we are addicted to their toys. We are not. Walk Away.
Yaroslava has posted early Friday morning Kyiv time. Please keep Yaroslava and all Kyiv in your thoughts.
Just after midnight in Kyiv. Once again, the city is under ballistic missile attack. Loud explosions shake the summer night.

2,5 days passed, yet firefighters still struggle to put out a fire in the warehouses of Ukraine's publishing house Ranok and the bookstore Knygoland in Kharkiv. The russian army targeted them on August 1, burning 8M books, incl school textbooks — just weeks before the start of a new school year.
Good morning dear friends, I wish everyone happy, healthy, productive, safe and peaceful day. Kyiv, Ukraine 🇺🇦
