good reminder that before the counting is over, election results don’t tighten. at no point is anyone trailing. nobody moves closer. they’re just tabulating the polls. it’s a fixed number that just isn’t done yet. to say otherwise is bad journalism but even worse math.

Per Matt Pinfield on Facebook, it appears the earliest full-time host of MTV's 120 Minutes Dave Kendall has died. Dave was the pre-Grunge host, when 120 minutes was still full of truly outsider videos and stuff that hadn't or would never cross over. R.I.P. king!

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Dave Kendall. Dave was one of the true believers. Long before alternative music found its way into the mainstream, he was there every week on 120 Minutes, introducing people to bands that would go on to define an era. He didn’t just host a show. He gave a home to music that deserved to be heard. He loved the music, respected the artists, and connected with fans in a way that always felt authentic. That’s a rare gift. Sending love to everyone whose life he touched. Rest easy, Dave.

I'm a cover art nerd with a strong love of text as an integral design element, so the trend of textless covers over the last 10-15 years is a bummer. Et tu, Dinosaur Jr?? The band name on your covers has always been such a great part of them. 👎
