According to the Senate GOP: Todd Blanche became a different person somewhere between the confirmation hearing and today’s vote. He remains Trump’s personal lawyer. Same client. Same corruption. Same playbook. Nothing has changed. He has no business becoming Attorney General.

Pump the brakes, folks. Context matters. I was the DNC Assoc. Chair in ‘18, & fundraising wasn't easy then either. It rises and falls every cycle. Ken Martin & the DNC have invested a historic amount in state parties, helping build the infrastructure that's already paying off in special elections.

YES!!!! Thank you, RBC, for doing the right thing. And thanks also to folks like former chair Jaime Harrison and the Rev. Al Sharpton for sounding the alarm and underscoring the importance of SC retaining first in the nation status.
What a moment. South Carolina will remain First in the Nation, and we’ll once again kick off the Democratic presidential nominating process.
If South Carolina gets quietly bumped after one cycle of convenient praise, that sends a message louder than any speech at a Democratic dinner: the gratitude was performance, not policy.” Rev. Al Sharpton @scdemocrats.bsky.social scdp.org/press-releas...

“You don’t forget who showed up for you when nobody else would,” Sharpton said. Black voters have shown up for the Democratic Party again and again. SC hasn’t just cast votes in the presidential primary, time after time, it decided the nomination, & ultimately the presidency.

I'm honored to have written the New York Times obituary for Denise Oliver-Velez, a trailblazing activist whose work offers lessons for us all. I'm especially grateful to her godchildren, who were very generous with their help during this time of mourning. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/20/u...

Cindy Hyde-Smith hasn't been a senator, she's been a rubber stamp for partisan policies that hurt our families. As your senator, I promise to ask the tough questions, demand answers and always put Mississippians first. #MississippiMatters
I'm simply not having it. I hear too many complaining about our senior Black Democratic electeds, and I WILL NOT HAVE IT. Focus on the REAL PROBLEM--RACISM RUNNING AMERICA. Reinstating voting rights for your Black neighbors IS the priority. Because they voted for all the rights we achieved.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again b/c it bears repeating: *Keep your eyes open, people. We have to persist. It's the only way. You have to persist, miss nothing, and don't let your head drop.* For democracy's sake, vote in *every* election. And vote D, b/c the other ones... nuh-uh.
You can’t just vote D, you have to support democrats vocally. Donate, volunteer, don’t bash people working to get the message out. It’s on US to help. WE have to be part of the messaging. Constantly bashing Dems is hindering our chances. BE the messenger. It’s on ALL of us.
In memory of my TiaHermana, Denise Oliver-Velez. #QOTD A warrior queen met on a long journey to continued freedom.
Pay attention and DO NOT ignore this. Like Project 2025, they’re telling us exactly what they plan to do. #WhileIBreatheIVote
What the former DNC chair said. Come on, RBC (Rules & Bylaws Committee) - let’s get real. You spent a good portion of 2024 dealing with the tantrums of folks who took inclusion as a zero-sum game. The SCOTUS for all intents and purposes killed the VRA w/Callais. Let’s not add to the damage.

With the exception of Ms. Hairdo on The View, it seems to me that when times get dark, the late Sen John McCain and his fam put country over party.
As Hunter Biden said, “I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.” Cindy and son Jimmy McCain will host a fundraiser on behalf of Gov. Katie Hobbs in September in the re-election campaign of the Democratic incumbent
Michigan, I’ve got your back. I’m ready to step up to the plate and fight for what this state deserves!
It's a hell of a depressing thing to watch footage of the passing of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and realize that within 2-3 generations our own SCOTUS crumbled it to dust.
Over the past decade, we the people have had some dead easy votes at the federal level. But in all too many cases, we the people listened to propaganda disseminated by entities that do NOT have our best interests at heart. Too many of you had a pout and voted poorly or not at all. 1/

ICE outrage in Maine today A young man was needlessly and senselessly shot and killed. The ICE agents involved and their supervisors must be held accountable. ICE should be dismantled and only reconstituted if part of a larger, just, and comprehensive immigration reform package. #MEpolitics
