The Wow Hentai article doesn't deserve attention so I'm not linking it but it's irresponsible and lazy to do a piece on this and not talk about the censorship push. I mean it was like 2 paragraphs so it was gonna be lazy. But whatever

I've also been thinking about the double standards of the sex and gore in the Divinity trailer vs all the indie devs getting obliterated. Everyone should have this creative freedom, not just the big guys. It's blatant wallet-favoritism

so many people are lending a hand to fascists when they police each other on "acceptable" nsfw content and get too scared to stand up for sw'ers and artists when the worst thay could happen to them is get called problematic by other puritans

There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are

it's always interesting when conversions about horror romance arise, with even transgressive folks agreeing there is no way for the two to coexist. like it might be a fucked up romance, much like what we see in dark and gothic romance, but idk... people can get disemboweled and still have a HEA

it’s small business saturday, so consider supporting a commission artist for bespoke art this season! as for me, I have something simmering and will be posting holiday slots (very) soon. stay tuned and keep a bit a coin hoarded if that interests you.

HOLIDAY COMMISSION RESOURCE — yule is upon us, and what better way to spread merriment than by supporting an artist, writer, crafter. if [YOU] are a creative with open commissions, with a turnaround time guaranteed before DEC 25 - JAN 1, please QRP or comment your information! #commissions

image reads "holiday commission resource with an image of a red bow. text continues beneath, "artists with open commissions and turnaround times before the end of the year."

#1 piece of advice I wish someone had told me when I was starting out - keep the part-time job w/the w-2. It will alleviate the tax burdens of self-employment & supplement the gaps in income that come with it Having a day job is not a measure of your commitment or success in your field. It's smart.

When people hear that I'm returning to part time work they often ask "are things not going well with your art?" The problem really is things are going well, but the world is so unstable that I long for some consistency and income that I don't have to pay quarterly taxes on
