How do other indie devs advertise their work? So far social media hasn't done well for me (in fact I've been suspended from X suddenly.) The lack of engagement has kept me from trying to get a Steam/GOG page or do something like crowdfunding.

Are. You. Guys. Serious? The reason my sfw game is getting slammed behind an 18+ wall is because other people sometimes use it as a tag for nsfw content? What other 'Surprise! We're gonna call your content porn' tags are there? Is there a list? Is that why the LGBTQ stuff is getting hit too?

Here's a screenshot of someone on your staff lying to the community that LGBT games weren't impacted, while you were blanket deindexing yuri games (which are lesbian, not NSFW). As a journalist, I have a responsibility to correct misinformation from corporations. Stop lying to your community!

This article is full of misinformation unfortunately. The games Wendy and co. are indexed: itch.io/search?type=... I think maybe the person is confused because it doesn't show up in the autocomplete? Autocomplete only shows the top ~1000 games: itch.io/t/3361091/se...

While I was asleep I was quietly reindexed with no notice given to me on Itch's part. I sent them an email inquiring about my situation but there's no response still. Another Bluesky user being kind enough to keep searching my game's title is what tipped me off. It's the reason I got out of bed!

Numbers like this don't look like much, but when I've had to do manual advertising for almost all of the game's lifetime this means a ton. Even if you only looked for a few seconds and didn't like it, it means something. #indie #indiedev #gamedev

Been trying to seek out support from a few friends and it I swear some of them just don't care if I feel worse. I tried venting and got told "not like [my game] would bring in much income". Yeah you might be trying to sound "real" or "pragmatic" but that's so fucking hurtful.

We're not in theoretical "they could come after sfw queer content LATER" territory anymore. It is being used to come after sfw queer content NOW. Spread this around, send the article to any and every news outlet/content creator you can think of. The alarms need to be sounded And KEEP CALLING
