‘Melissophobia’ is a fear of bees. ‘Mel’ is Latin for “honey.” The name, ‘Melissa,’ comes from the Greek word for “honeybee.” In Greek mythology, Melissa was a nymph who fed the infant Zeus honey instead of milk. Later, the gods turned her into a bee (spoiler alert).

In public health, you learn an awful lot about people willing to profit off of harms to children. But my jaw is on the floor. I need a book (physical book!) of cryptic crosswords. We used to have drowning in backlogs but we’re better now and have torn through the ones we have. I get 3/week via subscriptions—not enough! We solve one every evening w/ cocktails 🥃 in order to feel civilized ❤️

Its fair to ask if Orban's successful cultivation of the Western right wing intellectuals reflected that their networks were already dependent on patronage. Rod Dreher was funded by a weird billionaire, and when he stopped paying his salary, Orban did. Dreher already looking for a new gig.
