This is the kinds of homes that the Starter Homes Act will unlock for more places. <3 So happy to see that 2000 sq ft lot/home! Good job on @sustainstpaul.bsky.social and Saint Paul's zoning update for setting an excellent precedent.
Proposed changes to its building code could take Duluth, MN, from "hard to get anything done" to "all kinds of homes, in all the places." 👍

ROAD to Housing just passed the House 355 to 30, after passing the Senate 90 to 5. Incredible! Heroic work from folks like Up for Growth & Institute for Progress, and local advocates around the country. And congrats to the bipartisan state coalitions that created the context for this federal win.
Congress is poised to pass a major housing bill in a rare bipartisan moment as Republicans and Democrats scramble to address affordability concerns before midterms. The House is expected to approve the legislation and send it to President Trump’s desk.

Agreed. Unfortunately, we did not have the votes to include Downtown on the moratorium. I’d really recommend those who live in downtown to get more involved and bring up these concerns. I want a downtown that is vibrant, has more housing, and is family friendly.
