A professional pedicab driver is offering free rides on Lyndale Ave—Tues 6-10 pm—for interested members of the media, elected officials, & regular folks. If you aren't brave enough to ride, it's an admission the current Lyndale is a menace to public safety and needs to be fixed.
To enable on-ride music, we hauled: ✔️1 talented saxophonist w/ saxophone in hand ✔️1 folding bike ✔️ 1 trailer ✔️ 1 saxophone case And still had room to haul another bike with @lauragmitchell.com ‘s Tow Monster (but wasn’t needed). Next up: full band on cargo bikes?

Propaganda works, the modern American advertising industry was born from the wartime propaganda industry. The auto-industry knows it works and is willing to spend more than nearly every other industry to keep people thinking that car-centrism is inevitable, good, and desirable.

Maybe we need more public transit ads that are doing the same. Not just the social media posts of real people praising transit, but shiny ads of stereotypical families using the bus. #busride

The onus is on drivers to keep people safe in individual situations. But is on city leaders to design roadways so that these types of incidents are less common. Minneapolis is targeting zero traffic deaths by design. Helsinki hasn't had one in 21 months, by design. St Paul, it's time to commit.
