The Motoring Podcast

@motoringpodcast.com

The Motoring Podcast is a weekly audio podcast by Alan Bradley (@ajpbradley.bsky.social) and Andrew Clews (@crackedwindscreen.bsky.social) that shares car and motoring news and opinion in 40- to 60-minute episodes.

M'collegue, @ajpbradley.bsky.social, blesses us with his presence this week on the News Show. He has "a theory" about one story - having heard it, I agree. We also have a quiz for you, thanks to one person. I get more excited about the third New New Car News, erm, car than the other two.

This week's News Show is out and it has two presenters. Rough time for auto workers in Europe. Is one car resounding to marketing overload? You go back to the future. To 👂 via streaming click 👉 www.motoringpodcast.com/episodes/202... To 👂 via other services click 👉 mpnewsshow.captivate.fm/listen

Oh crikey. Forgot to say, the #RechargingRoundBritain livestream will actually be tomorrow (ie. Wednesday 5 August) night at 20:00 BST, as we roundup the full trip including charging costs etc. We'd love for you to be there and to send any questions you have in. Apologies for the lack of notice.

Update: There will no News Show this week, we're afraid. There is a lot going on outside the podcast and we're a bit tired. After a week full of content, you've probably had enough of us anyway! We're back next week, albeit a day early, so do keep an eye out for that.

G’morning! We’ve put the Inster’s battery pre-conditioning to the test on the short drive from the hotel to the services, so it’s slurping down enough electrons to get us to Edinburgh or, hopefully Kinross. Video of last night will be up asap, but YT is still “processing” it. 🙄

Been catching up with my friends from the @motoringpodcast.com and finished listening to the latest episode (linked below) yesterday, and the current mini episodes today. Was that a Tenacious D reference in the intro? 😍 Also, Tulio Crespi is Argentinian, not Brazilian 😝 Love the Tulietta GT ❤️

Latest News Show is now out. The risks for current car buyers. Have we found the greatest car in the world or is it just a tribute? Pack your beachwear. Again. To 👂 via streaming click 👉 www.motoringpodcast.com/episodes/202... To 👂 via other services click 👉 mpnewsshow.captivate.fm/listen

Folkestone to Luton/Dunstable achieved. We have an appointment later, and the roads are much quieter than predicted when we were planning last night. Not that we’re complaining… (No, I can’t judge the length of a tiny car…)

This week’s driving and charging is reminding me of the variability of UK motorway service providers. I definitely have a hierarchy of preference. - Westmorland - Moto - Welcome Break - Extra - Roadchef - whoever runs Folkestone Services

I’ve been told off for being crap at self-promotion. NEXT WEEK I’M HOPING TO RECREATE THIS WITH A HYUNDAI INSTER. Yeah, so, Recharge ‘Round Britain starts next Monday morning and we’ll be spamming your socials with our progress and recording a daily update podcast each evening. @motoringpodcast.com

That’s a stinking deal. I have a very soft spot for the Ioniq Electric, and that’s even a post-facelift one.
