Is there any Public Transport Modelling done for the Petone to Grenada Link? The simple answer is no, at the last meeting at Petone Baptist Church i asked Chris Bishop who attended why there is no public transport case done for P2G, Chris Bishop answered that is on GWRC and there is no funding.

Last Thursday at the Petone Community Association meeting, Korokoro residents voiced disgust about losing London and Korokoro Rd during P2G construction, also an GWRC councillor mentioned there could be an legal challenge about the P2G going through Cornish St, Pito-One Rd as the site is designated

I learnt today that the 2015 route for P2G was cancelled because it was not only due to the gradient of the P2G from the Petone side and the financial costs associated, I was told that there was sensitive land involved, this needs to be discussed.

I was in a Zoom session today with the KEG (Korokoro Environmental Group), one of their people has confirmed that the site where Cornish St, Pito-One, London and Korokoro Rd is culturally sensitive land and there are graves on the hill behind arise church and there were 2 pa’s in the area as well

There are 8 bores in Lower Hutt that are connected to the Waiwhetu Aquifer, it’s well known the Buick St fountain in Petone, the Lower Hutt Hospital built in 1940’s the Dowse fountain near LHCC buildings and Waiwhetu Marae uses the Waiwhetu aquifer as a source of water supply, the Cornish St side
