Did a submission outlining to Lower Hutt City Council that the 3 storey buildings need to have mandatory lifts for people with accessibility issues or challenges on council or Kainga Ora run housing a few weeks ago, looks like some people on fb see my request as 'unreasonable and extreme'

Here's a very condescending reply to a reddit thread I wrote about an submission I made on the Disability Support Services Bill about Flexible Funding being made a one off only for the purchase of a laptop, phone or tablet www.reddit.com/r/nzpolitics...
The screenshot below shows where the planned Petone to Grenada Link runs through in Lower Hutt, in 2024 the Lower Hutt City Council wanted to declare the area under Sites and Areas of Significance to Maori, instead Chris Bishop blocked it, significant sites include: - Pito-One and Korokoro Pa

Is there any Public Transport Modelling done for the Petone to Grenada Link? The simple answer is no, at the last meeting at Petone Baptist Church i asked Chris Bishop who attended why there is no public transport case done for P2G, Chris Bishop answered that is on GWRC and there is no funding.
Last Thursday at the Petone Community Association meeting, Korokoro residents voiced disgust about losing London and Korokoro Rd during P2G construction, also an GWRC councillor mentioned there could be an legal challenge about the P2G going through Cornish St, Pito-One Rd as the site is designated
It seems Louise Upston wants to move disability funding including flexible funding from Ministry of Health to Ministry of Social Development, one of my concerns is that WINZ/MSD staff may not have experience with disabled people including autistic people www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

The bill follows a Supreme Court ruling that two carers of adult children with disabilies were employees of the government, and therefore entitled to the same legal protections and benefits.

‘None of those roads will be missed’, just wait till people learn that Pito-One, London and Korokoro Rd and Cornish St where the planned Petone to Grenada Link runs through has been designated by the Lower Hutt City Council as Sites and Areas of Significance to Māori and archaeologically significant
I learnt today that the 2015 route for P2G was cancelled because it was not only due to the gradient of the P2G from the Petone side and the financial costs associated, I was told that there was sensitive land involved, this needs to be discussed.
@openpolicy.bsky.social @catherinejmckenzie.bsky.social I am looking into providing a walk of the planned P2G on the Petone side which includes Cornish St, Pito-One, junction of London and Korokoro Rd and Percy’s Scenic Reserve
I was in a Zoom session today with the KEG (Korokoro Environmental Group), one of their people has confirmed that the site where Cornish St, Pito-One, London and Korokoro Rd is culturally sensitive land and there are graves on the hill behind arise church and there were 2 pa’s in the area as well
@amscraig.bsky.social just wanting to ask, do you travel to the Hutt Valley, I could give you some documentation on the Cornish St, Korokoro, Pito-One and London Rd which is actually an archaeologically and culturally sensitive area which the Petone to Grenada Link is planned as well

1. I have been looking into an 2011 document on the site of where Arise Church, Pito-One Rd, London and Korokoro Rd is located where the planned Petone to Grenada Link goes through, there is an old cemetery in the area and from a 2011 document, there has been reported sightings of headstones on the

1. Yesterday at a meeting with Korokoro Environmental Group members, questions were raised about the Cornish St side of P2G as it is on top of the Waiwhetu aquifer and some staff from Lower Hutt Hospital who attended mentioned Lower Hutt Hospital’s water supply comes from the same aquifer
1. I was speaking with Peter Gilberd yesterday about the Cornish St area of the planned Petone to Grenada Link, the Korokoro Environmental Group is planning to do a submission for the FT panel opposing P2G due to effects to Korokoro Stream and another group is planning on the grounds due to
