Video game idiot at large. I write stuff sometimes. That’s about it honestly.
Sorry wait are they making The Purge but for fucking
i'm locked in on this film sorry to anyone else
"What are your top five books" asks the prompt, as I instantly forget every sentence I have ever read in my life somehow.
I don’t talk about non-games media on here enough so hit me up

*noir voice* The dame had legs. Endless. They just kept going, all the way up, past the ass, into the torso, coming out the arm holes.
“I may be out of mana but I am never out of options.”
SHE’S GOT THE GLOCK
Bet you didn't know that the Little Morton Salt Girl is an immortal being who existed before there was life on Earth.
Dig through the glitches and Be Romero's bitch as you Slam in the pak of
Look there’s a reason I try to talk about video games a lot, we can’t all be screaming into the void nonstop.
Tired: Claiming that the CEO of Bluesky wants more conservatives on here Wired: embracing @dennycarter.bsky.social thought and accepting that Bluesky is the app for Sports
Somehow David Beckham's Philippines Safari is one of the best games of all time. Video games are a magical experience.
I started Final Fantasy 10 again to feel something and I always forget the premise of the game on paper is David Beckham gets sent back in time to the midieval Philippines to end religious prosecution, and that’s beautiful to me
There are reasons to argue about the logistics of this strategy and critiques you could make but “muh taxes” is aggressively not it
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Got my PAX pass in the mail today! I'm going to be in Seattle then anyway so I figured might as well go.
I’ve been slowly poking at King's Field because I was curious where this all comes from, and for the most part, old game jank aside it hasn't been too bad. And then I got to the last floor of the dungeon.
This in particular is TvTropes and CinemaSins ruining people in this specific way, I think. Turning stories into individual components is TVT's whole thing, and CinemaSins makes those components seem inherently A Problem.
“This sandwich is nothing but peanut butter, jelly, and bread; which themselves are nothing but peanuts, fruit and sugar, and flour, water, salt and yeast.” Yeah? This is true? But combining these ingredients in this way produces something greater than the sum of their parts. That’s magic.
I don't think people are ready for this kind of joke yet.
The Frasier renaissance always felt kind of like everyone was pretending to be into it again as a bit so this is reassuring in a way
One of those weird paradox of choice things where I used to be fine seeing Frasier as a kid because I got some of the jokes and there was a dog and it was what was on versus now where no matter what I watch I know there’s something better I should be watching
Between this and Odyssey are Tom Holland and Zendaya the most profitable actors around? They’ve gotta be close right
When they finish tallying up the Sunday box office, BNDs gonna make close to a billion for its opening weekend. Ppl fucking love Spiderman! www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl22...
if I ever taught film criticism lesson one would be “you being smarter than the movie is not interesting to anyone”
Dogsitting for a friend this weekend and one of them is acting weird and I’m not sure if she’s sick or just depressed that mom and dad are gone
Increasingly convinced he’s not lying, he just legit can’t remember anymore. To be clear this is absolutely not an improvement
It’s bad enough to report the words of an inveterate liar without qualification, but doing it for the SAME LIE he’s told every week for 2 months or so is just head-scratchingly bad
Isekai as a genre is exploding in popularity because it appeals to a universal desire to get hit by a truck rather than live in the 21st century.
Being a parent is pretty tough, but it's all worth it for that moment, every once in a while, when you get to take your kid to the city to see a marching band and say, "Will you defeat them? Your demons and all the non-believers, the plans that they have made?"
The idea of a “dungeon” is always going to exist in games, because “the place where the adventure happens” will always be a thing. That’s not inherently colonialist, the Corporate HQ you’re raiding is still a dungeon. We can use a different word sure, fine with me, but the idea will always be there.
