Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map. This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026. The vote failed big, 19/31. The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

Amidst the chaos and the law-breaking the most important thing to remember/focus on is that they are doing these things illegally because they know they don't have the votes to do it by passing laws, even in a GOP controlled Congress.
For what it’s worth, Democrats did refuse consent on Vought. They tried to filibuster him, forced Republicans to jump through hoops and used up all 30 hours of allowed debate time, with an all-nighter on the Senate floor, and all 47 Dems voted NO each time. That’s about all they can do procedurally.

Here is truly the least we can all do: commit to reposting all news of protest and struggle you see. There's a lot going on--LA, San Diego, St. Louis, *Grand Rapids,* Michigan. But the press has been broken. It's not ideal. But we must be the news.

This reinforces the racist, sexist notion that diversity and affirmative action are promoting unqualified people, doing the right’s work for the.
This does not mean “don’t worry about it,” or even that “it’s just a distraction.” It means fight, delay, push back, express doubt, and do anything you can to remind anyone who’ll listen that Trump and Trumpers threaten all sorts of things and hope you’ll jump out of the way. Don’t forfeit.
