Couldn’t bear the white noise of the news headlines — this is such a relief. Thoughtful and sane. Worth the sub I’ve just signed up for.

BIZARRELY, the only person to see RefUK performance as clearly as we did - i.e. they hit a ceiling, are going backwards and NOT on course for a majority - and give Tice a proper grilling today, was Tominey on GBeebies. Albeit for her own insane tHe-cOmMuNisT-gReEnZ-aRe-CoMiNg-tO-TaKe-mY-aGa reasons.

I've spent yesterday and today talking to researchers across the globe trying to understand the hantavirus outbreak aboard the cruise ship MV Hondius. My story in @science.org is here (and some threaded thoughts coming): www.science.org/content/arti... 🧪 #IDsky

So far the war in Iran has cost an estimated $5.5 billion. That's roughly $1 billion per day. $41,666,667 per hour. $11,574 per second. People do not want this. They want a living wage. They want healthcare. They want to be able to afford a home. They want their basic needs met.

This is essential: a democracy *must* know who is paying its politicians and where that money is coming from. Cryptocurrency is *designed* to make that impossible. The whole point is to lift payments outside the scrutiny of the state.

Seven Select Committee Chairs have written jointly to the Prime Minister calling for an explicit ban on cryptocurrency donations in the forthcoming Elections Bill. This is not an argument about digital assets. It is an argument about democratic integrity.

Mason declares that in his judgement we have been misled by Rachel Reeves. It feels unprecedented that the BBC has made a "call" on a story, and is something that was absent throughout the terms of notorious liars such as Johnson. There were certainly no "calls" about Brexit lies. #r4today

Democracy dies in silence. …when people are too afraid or don’t care enough to speak up. Not today. MILLIONS of Americans and allies of freedom and democracy, here and around the world, are taking to the streets. Showing their love of country and defiance of tyranny. It’s a beautiful sight.
