Loved her and had the highest respect for her.
The great Bonnie Greer RIP
My two favorite photos of Trump's trip to Ireland, where he seems not to have gotten his ass kissed like he expected.
Also worth noting. '100% of the recycling and component retention took place within the UK, supporting domestic green jobs and at least 10 supply chain companies.' bsky.app/profile/mike...
Now THIS is incredible. 26 decommissioned wind turbines from Scotland's first commercial wind farm were - wait for it - 99.9% recycled? Less than 0.1% of their materials into landfill: www.newcivilengineer.com/latest/uk-fi... Blimey.
I’m just a person on my fucking knees begging the government to use its absolutely massive majority to do something extremely fucking popular: save our democracy.
The RNLI volunteer has told us that donations usually run at £20,000 per day. Currently running at £100,000 per day! Bloody brilliant!
Brilliant story with Ian Bone making a guest appearance
The Shard's £50m empty apartments that just won't sell
Ten “cursed” apartments have sat empty since 2012 • The Qatari state can’t find buyers • The local council has approved plans to turn them into short-term lets at up to £18,000 per week

For years, Stephen Lennon has asked supporters to trust him and fund him. A Channel 4 Dispatches investigation, made with HOPE not hate, has raised serious questions about his finances. I’ve added my name calling for a full investigation. Will you? secure.hopenothate.org.uk/page/199860/...
CALL FOR AN HMRC INVESTIGATION INTO STEPHEN LENNON
A year-long Channel 4 Dispatches investigation has raised serious questions about Stephen Lennon’s finances. Add your name and call on the Government to refer them to HMRC for investigation.

I worry for this country when our fash militias can't even enforce a dress code
If you would like to add your voice to tens of thousands of people thanking RNLI volunteers for their work, 38 Degrees have organised this open letter to express public support (at a time when a hateful fringe have been intimidating & abusing RNLI volunteers) act.38degrees.org.uk/act/rnli-tha...
An open letter in support of the volunteers and staff at the RNLI
This is a disgrace. Brave RNLI volunteers being called scum for risking their lives to save others at sea is just plain wrong. So I've signed an open letter of thanks for the RNLI letting them know th...

So now we can't swim in the sea for the foreseeable future? Or eat coastal fish?
"They tried courses of the antibiotics celalexan, co-Amoxiclav and Trimethopim Amoxicillin but the E-coli was resistant to all of them" ~ children hospitalised after swimming in 'toilet bowl' harbour: www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...
Very worrying escalation of events by the Tommo fash tonight in Portsmouth and Poole. Government needs to act swiftly and harshly against these thugs. They’ve been warned for months and ignored it.
Notably, the RNLI are one of the most trusted and loved institutions in the UK. Volunteers risking their lives to save people lost at sea It’s like having a stand-off with David Attenborough or Paddington Bear
I was only saying today how this excellent book could be updated for 2026. I recommend it often.

To me, the most eye-opening bit of this recent Reform scandal is that these knobheads literally say that the reason they need foreign money is because British people won’t support them.
"If there there was a window it was not broken, but it if was broken it was not by Nigel Farage's ball, but if it was his ball he certainly did not kick it, and if he did kick it, it was an accident and he knew nothing about it" said a Reform spokesperson.
Every thing he says is aimed solely at stupid people who he thinks can be manipulated into voting for him. Take care of your towns morons today, they are clearly under attack. This is what he's really thinking:
The first rule of privilege is that you get to be unaware of your privilege! It’s so nice and comfy to believe you’re just really good at stuff and earned it all by your diligent labour and inherent virtue
This, from William Cash, son of Sir Bill Cash, has allowed me to start the working day with a huge smile on my face. Just glorious. Bravo!
One thing that I love about the film is how it captures a very distinct social setting and milieu. Lunch at Rules. G&Ts at Mark’s. A champagne reception at Oswald’s. Pints in a Shepherd Neame’s pub in Westminster. Discussion of Black Velvets over oysters by the sea.
