All the more reason to believe they will not view their surveillance objectively. When feeling the need to monitor, they're already paranoid. When not using the intelligence for positivity, they're detrimental to society.

Just like ICE. Which was supposed to round up the real "baddies"--the worst of the worst--but it's mostly doing everything BUT that.

This “noticing” talking point comes out of white nationalist/neo-Nazi circles. Typically part of antisemitic conspiracy theories.

“Noticing” is basically “I’m not a bigot, I’m just noting [stereotype] is true.” In the context of antisemitism, it’s “I’m not antisemitic, I just notice that there are a lot of Jews in charge.” Hard to see this racist framing from Vance as accidental or incidental.

We have an administration that is openly courting neo-Nazis and white nationalists. It’s not subtle. From the AI propaganda posts (“Which way American man?” — a reference to the white nationalist book “Which Way Western Man?”) to the resegregation of our military, to ICE raids, etc. Gutter racism.

This was built over decades: The creation of a far-right media and dark money messaging ecosystem outside legacy media; a judiciary stacked with far-right judges; right-wing beach heads and professors at colleges; right-wing takeover of traditional media… We’ve been hollowed out by the businessmen.

We need to prosecute all of these corrupt, destructive administration officials, right up to the president himself. It’s the only way. Then we need to set about dismantling everything the right has built since the 1970s. Wipe away every bit of power the fascists have.

Go into any comments section online these days, and it won’t take long for you to find rabid republicans calling for the imprisonment and/or death of democrats. And the reason is, is because their leader promotes violence, and so does his entire fascist regime. There are consequences to that.
