I wouldn't have played sports. At that age, I was the only girl on the boys varsity basketball team. My coach used to tease me by referring to the rest of team as "my boyfriends." The only reason why we gender segregate sports is because we're hellbent on creating hierarchy.

"participation decline" makes it sound like people are saying, "Nah, I don't need it" instead of politicians taking the funding away so people can't get the support.

Love all the clowns cheering on austerity and then wondering why everything they chose to defund is falling apart.

Someone placed little tiny US flags on our lawn along the side of the road every 20 ft and now they are tying mylar star balloons to our mailboxes. Why? It's all the way down the street. Do we have parade coming?

My kid is doing multiple weeks of YMCA summer camp and at the end of every week they have rating survey and I feel like a student blowing off course evals. Like, no, you aren't making me do more work for you. (If I had a problem with the camp, I would let them know.)
