Adam Mallinger@bitterscriptreader.bsky.social · 4mo agoA 25th Anniversary shout-out to the DEEP SPACE NINE post-finale novel series, which launched this day in 2001 with the release of AVATAR, Books 1 & 2, by S.D. Perry. It was the first time that Paramount allowed the novel line to tell a serialized continuation after the end of a series.
In 2025 I edited sixteen novels, three query packets, and one comic book script. Not too shabby.
Today my local grocery store is selling 6 ounces of blueberries for $9.99.

A big (and possibly unsolvable) problem in for audio dramas getting more popular is that the better your show is - the more carefully-honed the script, the more intricate the design - the harder it is for listeners to sporadically zone out, which I suspect is one of the attractions of chat podcasts.
