I can't find the post now but I saw someone say that Michigan's incredibly close result is the worst possible for Team I Just Want Democrats To Win This Fall, which is the team that I am on.
The reviews I've seen of ONE NIGHT ONLY suggest it's the worst possible implementation of its troublesome premise, in that it apparently digs a tiny bit into the implications and then stops.
Looks like a 10-15 point polling miss in Michigan regardless of who wins. And people have been writing a lot of electability takes using this data. It’s dangerous out there folks be safe

When David Ellison writes in an NYT op-ed "judge us by the year we just had" and then includes *nothing* about the dramatic past several months at CBS News, is there no obligation on the part of NYT Opinion to step in and say "You must discuss this aspect or your argument is glaringly incomplete" ?

Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

I'm sure the right will whip up a "so much for the tolerant left" cycle out of this, but to me this is good old-fashioned market forces. If the bulk of your customer-base is LGBTQ-friendly, it's just good business not to alienate them.

Unfortunately my takeaway from the Bash interview with RFK Jr is: yet another journalist shows up under-prepared to a contentious interview, so that even though she's actually in the right, her flailing lends credibility to her murderous moron of a guest.
I hope Zendaya gets like 15 toxic-relationship movies greenlit off the back of her 2026 run.

It's just wild that it's doing so much better than every other MCU movie this decade, even Deadpool 3. Obviously people like Spider-Man, but people really like *this* Spider-Man.
