"Are you happy? you asked as we parted, that sharp, strange little question." Gorgeous story! How nice to be reminded of the happiness that exists in the world, and the connections we have to each other. A quick burst of joy! @welkinpress.bsky.social

I for one think that if you’re a literary journal who opposes AI in any writing submissions, you should also never use AI for any artwork on your site. Seems like a no-brainer! Support all artists, not just writers. And yet! A lot of journals seem ok with AI art. Please change this policy, folks!

"Let’s say it’s his dog, the one he adopted..." I had tears in my eyes reading this. Sarah's stories are always masterful. I think this might be one of her best. The scale and juxtaposition are so expertly done here. A double heartbreak. Congrats @sfreligh.bsky.social ! @welkinpress.bsky.social

"...thrumming in celebration of your own electric-bodied song..." Breathtaking work. You'll want to read this multiple times to soak up the language and artistry. (One of the best drabbles I've ever read.) Don't skip the judge's comments! @sarahillswrites.bsky.social @welkinpress.bsky.social

Turned down my first event because they don't have an AI policy and a good chunk of the listed participants are sloperators. Mad as hell, mad as hell, mad as hell.

Just got a report of a scam solicitation w/ contact info harvested from copyright registration lists. The work is unpublished & not mentioned anywhere else; registration included author's cell #, so solicitation was via SMS. Just a reminder that any contact info on a registration is public record.

"..and it’s there, right there with the sight of something so green..." I LOVE it when a drabble uses language in a luxurious way, as if the author has all the time (and word count) in the world. This takes skill. A gorgeous, heartbreaking piece by @wordsfromemorra.bsky.social
