Rather than teach about Jews primarily as targets of hatred — the obvious organizing principle of many lessons on the Holocaust & antisemitism training — it is crucial students learn abt Jewish identities, experiences as inextricable from our broader national narratives. forward.com/opinion/8442...

I don't think there is an issue with using AI to support research -- we are always adapting to new technologies -- but verifying sources and citations is like Scholarship 101. I hope this editor retracted the article...

I was consulted recently by an editor of an interdisciplinary journal who was ready to retract a paper based on hallucinated citations. It’s a real research integrity problem, and it’s arriving in humanities and social sciences publishing. (It’s already been a problem in STEM.)

Everyone is out and about as usual in NYC, but the extra narrow sidewalks due to the snowbanks (and uncollected trash tbh) mean that there is this sweet connection I experienced many times yesterday where otherwise random, rushed ppl make eye contact, smile, and gesture to the other to go first
