Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

It’s important for the international community to boycott America That includes the World Cup and Olympics Refuse to support fascism Refuse to support a country that’s targeting all marginalized people, killing & detaining its citizens and threatening its allies It’s not safe. It’s not worth it.

The military takeover of Washington is not a “distraction” from Epstein. It’s a military takeover of Washington, which is an even bigger deal, and those of us who kill brain cells reporting on this stuff knows it’s been an explicit goal since before the election.

Angela Rayner says that Labour MPs who rebel against the Welfare Bill will lose the whip There are 403 Labour MPs Any Labour MP who votes for withdrawing PIP support from the disabled as outlined in this welfare bill is an absolute disgrace

"My friends and family don't believe that I'm sick because I look OK on the outside" ❤️‍🩹 So many heartbreaking stories from this weekend's International Long Covid Awareness Day event at the Vancouver Art Gallery

Colorful pillowcases on display at the Vancouver art gallery sharing messages from long Covid sufferers. March 15, 2025

Jacob age 39 shares: "my friends and family don't believe that I'm sick because I look okay on the outside. They don't understand why I had to leave my job. I miss my old life and the activities I used to enjoy. I need the government to step up and help us!"

Whatever happens, ALL disabled people need to stick together. That means we all need to fight against any proposed cuts, and not allow them to try and divide us. Every disabled person is deserving of support. We shouldn’t ever make it into a “who is worse” competition.

this encapsulates what all of this administration is about. they aren’t “accidentally” destroying departments. they are intentionally destroying the government so they can become the government. the only issue they have with the system is they don’t profit from it or control it

If you're a white dude with some flexibility in your life, get a group of your like-minded bros together & go to these events to act as counterbalance to these "private security forces." Get in their way. Occupy space. Ask for their IDs. Outnumber them. Make their fascism difficult.

With all the uncertainty around public health in the U.S., now is a great time to wear a good mask like an N95. They’re not just for Covid! A respirator can help you avoid flu, colds, measles, TB and more. It’s a powerful act of solidarity and resistance. It’s a sign of community care.

A mask is one of the most effective tools of the resistance. A well fitted respirator like an N95 protects from Covid, flu, H5N1, TB, measles & more. It sends a strong message to the government that your health is worth protecting & that you will not obey in advance. It makes activism accessible

Disabled people are built for resistance. Our health challenges may make it difficult to withstand stress & upheaval, but we’re skilled at problem solving, contingency planning & adapting to a world that isn’t build for us. We are adept at survival We should be included in all resistance efforts

“…no amount of posting or passive info consumption is going to substitute the hard, unsexy work of organizing” I would argue that sick & disabled folks have used social media to organize and mobilize. Some of us can’t protest in the streets or meet in person but we made a difference
