My most recent unwrap() in production was a next() call on an iterator with a compile time known, fixed length and I'm still paranoid about this.
remember rustaceans if you write an unwrap() some mother fucker is gonna find a code path that calls it with None/Err

Finished up DYNA Fall 2025, had an absolute blast. The rabbit hole of array programming just goes deeper and deeper, but honestly I'd be disappointed if it didn't. Thanks to everyone who put up with my constant stream of questions (especially Aaron), and hope to see you all again soon.

Okay does anyone here have experience working with the C++ AST for code analysis? I'm currently neck deep in a project written in Rust that does this. Found two approaches so far, both not great. cpp_ast relies on clang/LLVM to be installed, and treesitter's CST is not great for semantic analysis.
Okay so hear me out, there needs to be a "data-driven" party that provides a mission statement with explicit definitions for things like "improving the lives of the people" as well as the actual concrete metrics they use to measure and calculate their effect on those terms.
Excited to see everyone at the @cppcon.bsky.social welcome dinner tonight, hosted by the Denver C++ meetup group!
I'll be seeing this live in a month at C++ Under the Sea but I couldn't help myself - 20 minutes in and it is great 🥳 (Are We There Yet? - @seanparent.bsky.social) www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK3C...

Switching to having everything typed in my project has helped me catch so many bugs in the editor that I would have caught only in runtime otherwise... It is well worth the additional time investment!
