The explanation of Bezier Curves in this video is awesome! (time code: 4:50) Super easy to follow and I can totally picture in my head how to program this now! :O Totally worth a watch if you've ever wondered how curves work in software. P.S. the game is also quite cool :) #gamedev #indiedev

Second YT vid is out! This one's a technical look into how I created the floppy tongue effect for my game! I'm really proud of the explanation visuals, so check it out if you haven't seen it already! www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9RT... #gamedev #devlog #gamedesign #godot

Had a rare bug, hard to reproduce when playing normally. Very hard to debug! Built a debug tool to consistently launch Speck from x position in x direction to reliably reproduce the bug scenario. From there took about 10 minutes to step through the code and fix. Hell yeah 😎 #GameMaker #gamedev

I'm doing some settings work in #GameMaker which involved filtering, saving, loading and merging structs. As a result I've written the following simple, but useful struct functions: - merge - filter - save - load Sharing to maybe save others some time: gist.github.com/NathanAucket... #gamedev

#Shoutout to split-image by whiplashoo! A simple python script that makes it super easy to split an image into grid pieces: github.com/whiplashoo/s... Has come in super handy for Speck; helping us to easily split level art into more manageable pieces without seams or any other nonsense. #gamedev

There's an old question among GameMaker users who've chosen the tool for its simplicity. How do I make a 3D game in GameMaker? Then you find out you need to know quite a lot of maths and you ask yourself the next question. How do I make a *sort of* 3D game in GameMaker but, like, easily? #gamedev
