I'd like to refresh some props that use ESP8266s with ESP32s for our upcoming Cyberpunk #LARP and was musing on cheap options when these popped up at <£2 each. Yes the antennas are kinda garbage but this is for use when stood next to them.

It seems you can now get paid to manage the void people scream into: obviously it's a growing market.
Ferne is being very thoughtful here. At @uklta.bsky.social, being sci-fi/modern LARP we have the issue that a lot of our antagonists are human. So we do get "generic baddies to mow down" a lot but also times where players go to great lengths to avoid this, quite unexpectedly.

So much this. I did Obsession, Backrooms and Disclosure Day on one day last week. Some of it will have been down to show timings but DD was "a few old white people", Obsession was "good crowd of diverse Londoners, notably mostly women", Backrooms was "diverse young Londoners and packed".

Robert Cargill@crobertcargill.bsky.social · 2mo agoA lot of discourse today about the failure of superhero movies, but it needs to be stressed that Star Wars and Masters of the Universe underperformed the same way. We need to stop making movies for 50yr old white men and make them for Gen Z. They're going. Obsession is in its 7th week in the top 5.
