I’m in a bookstore now. This shelf holds books from publishers affected by the russian attack on August 1, when eight million books were destroyed. The bookstore is asking people to buy their books. I wanted to remember this shelf.

White people y'all ready to not be cool with other white people? Because that's what it really takes. You have to accept that when you get woke you don't fit into that world of ignorance as well anymore. That discomfort you've chosen is you risk you took on. Bucking against the norm is unpopular.

Buying chicken less than $1/lb. Making stock, canning both the stock & chicken. Making some soups, and a few freezer meals with some of the stock. Freshening up my canning skills so I can teach some of my community how to do it safely. Hoping we can pool food stuffs to can together to make it last.

Around eight million books were destroyed in Kharkiv yesterday. Many Ukrainians are responding by buying books from the affected publishers and from KnyhoLand, the bookstore chain that also used the warehouse. I bought these today.

My books will be on my shelves where they belong. A few friends used to laugh at me for keeping what they called obsolete things like vinyl records and old books. They all agree it was a good idea now.
