Well that's my first quarterly return done for MTD. Don't really see the point other than creating some extra work for me during the year. I'll do the bulk of it on my self-assessment as usual. A handful of invoices and expenses logged and that's it.

We’re all walking outside and crunching on leaves that haven’t fallen because it’s autumn, but from trees that are dying in the heat. There is no grass. The wildflower meadows are dying. The bees will be dying. And the climate report the released in January was so damning they redacted half of it.
Argh! This discourse on "we'll just enjoy it being a bit warmer" misses the point. We don't produce all our own food. We rely on a lot of countries, currently on fire, to produce our food. It's not a case of things being a bit dearer in the supermarket. There will be no food.

At one point of yesterday's ride I was downwind of the wildfire at Trawsfynydd. The air was noticeably smokey. This photo was once I got north and was looking down into a neighbouring valley. You can see the smoke.
Big day yesterday, rode to Pwhelli and got the train home but that's not the story. The train broke which meant waiting in the cold for a replacement bus in the middle of nowhere. Met some really interesting people while chatting to the other passengers....
