Oh, unfortunately, we think about it every day. A “faith director” in every federal agency isn't a victory for religious liberty. It's an attempt to weave religion into the machinery of government. That's exactly why we have church-state separation.

My not-so-hot take is that what Mamdani is doing *IS* incrementalism, and the bar is so deeply in hell that a politician just doing *anything* good consistently is a total anomaly for people. And I think for now that is good and fine, because it is restoring people’s faith that better is possible.

I don’t say this often these days, but Congress actually passed something good. My bipartisan housing bill to build more housing, lower costs, and stop private equity's housing grab is becoming law.
